The Association for the Advancement of Black Accountants of Southern Africa (ABASA) was established in 1985 with the vision of being the credible voice of Black accounting professionals.

ABASA exists to promote the interests, representation, and development of Black accountants and aspiring professionals, while advancing meaningful transformation within the accounting and finance sector.

ABASA’s work is supported by affiliated entities that enhance its impact and sustainability:

· The ABASA Trust: A charitable entity supporting ABASA’s social and educational initiatives, bursaries, and community upliftment programs.

· ABASA Investment Company: Manages investment activities to secure long-term financial sustainability and fund strategic programs of ABASA
